OmniWave Technology uses low power ultrasonic energy to create cavitational streaming that rapidly dissolves thrombus and quickly restores blood flow without adversely damaging surrounding vessel walls. OmniWave Technology works by directing ultrasonic energy down a catheter wire that has been tuned to create cavitation bubbles that fracture the fibrin matrix of the thrombus.
The current commercial product, the OmniWave™ Endovascular System is indicated to infuse physician-specified fluids and remove thrombus in the peripheral vasculature. The System is catheter based and is easily delivered over a 0.018” Guidewire.
The OmniWave Endovascular System is indicated for the infusion of physician specified fluids, including thrombolytics, and for the removal of thrombus in the peripheral vasculature. Not for coronary or neurovascular use.
The OmniWave Endovascular System is commercially available in the United States.
